Deutsch Photography's owner and principal photographer is Brett Deutsch. Brett has been an avid photographer since he bought his first camera at age 13 (a Kodak disc camera, if you can remember that long defunct technology). He trained at Pomona College in Claremont, CA, and later in New York City at the New York Institute of Photography and the School of Visual Arts.
An accomplished travel photographer, Brett has tramped with his cameras through 26 countries and all 7 continents, including Antarctica. Brett's photographs have been published in the United States (including the Dallas Morning News, the Kansas City Star and the Hartford News), and internationally (Time Out London, The Ottawa Citizen, The Regina Leader-Post and The Victoria Times Colonist).
No matter what he's photographing -- special events, portraits, landscapes, animals or any other subject -- Brett captures images that are truthful and powerful. He is a documentarian, someone who tells a story with photographs, revealing the beauty, the emotion, the energy, and the spirit that surrounds him. Brett brings this passion for honest and engaging storytelling to every assignment and every project.
